Who knocked over a light post at
The Marquee on 5th?

 Unexpected Visitors

In the apartment redevelopment business, challenges come in all shapes and sizes.

When Tyrel Hullum, Director of Operations for The Wildcat Group, came in one morning to check the construction site for The Marquee on Fifth, he was dismayed to find newly installed light poles knocked over and laying on the ground. “After overseeing dozens of projects, I’ve seen it all, including property and project damage,” Mr. Hullum said. “So after I noticed the light post looked deliberately damaged and I pulled the surveillance camera recording, I was expecting the typical type of youth vandalism.”

However, the offenders turned out to be much furrier than Mr. Hullum had imagined. “I was pretty surprised to see that the culprit was actually a herd of javelinas looking for breakfast in the early hours of the morning.” The javelina, a piglike desert mammal, is a common cause of mayhem for gardeners and residents of the desert southwest. Even big apartment projects aren’t immune.

Despite facing challenges like wild desert animals and COVID-19 during the 15-month renovation, The Marquee on 5th turned out to be a major success. Read more about the project at the link below.
